How to Download Images - Page 1

  1. Create a folder where you will keep all the images you will be using on your site. I prefer to keep mine on the desktop; you might have another place you would like to keep them. Regardless of where you put this folder, be sure you can find it again later!

To create a new folder on your desktop PC: Right-click, Mac: Control-click, a menu pops up:

    PC view: creating new folder

Choose New and then Folder, then type in the name of your folder and hit “return.”
  2. Go online and pick out an image in the Digital Museum that you would like to use. Click on the Title to get to the full-sized image.

    Search results thumbnail view
  3. Type in your user and password information in the prompt window.
  4. To save an image in your folder:

PC: Right-click on the image, select Save Picture As...
Mac: Control-click on the image, select Download Image to Disk

Saving an images to your folder

    Note
: Options on a pop-up window may very slightly depending on the system and the browser you are using.
