The University Honors Program
Students attend the University of Minnesota -- Twin Cities because of its nationally recognized faculty, its diverse academic programs, and its unparalleled research opportunities and facilities.
As of fall 2008 all UMTC collegiate-based Honors Programs will become part of the University Honors Program (UHP). UHP is designed to incorporate the best of the collegiate-based programs with even more opportunities, facilitating more interdisciplinary honors courses, making more connections to graduate and professional programs, providing better and earlier access to faculty, and creating a greater sense of a University-wide Honors community.
Current Students Admitted to Honors prior to fall 2008!
Current students in good standing, admitted to the Honors-CLA program, will automatically become
part of the University Honors Program under their previous set of requirements (unless they opt to change to the new requirements after meeting with their advisor). All Honors-CLA advisors are now members of the UHP advising group and will continue as advisors to Honors students under the college-based reaquirements. As always, we encourage all students to schedule appointments with their advisor some time during fall semester to discuss progress toward their degree and plans for pursuing Latin Honors.
